It's easier to say good things about others because we're limited to the outside-our-bodies experience of others, while we know ourselves much more intimately. It becomes harder to believe when you know all the reasons you did something, instead of only receiving the benefit.

Openly asking for love is tough because there's always a jerk that says you don't deserve it. It would be easier if they were some external force.
