Snowflake Challenge: Day One

In your own space, talk about why you are doing the Fandom Snowflake Challenge? What drew you to it as a participant? What do you hope to accomplish by doing these challenges? Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I did a little bit of the challenge last year, but got distracted/busy. I read along to other people doing it a lot, though, because it makes me excited for fandom all over again. My fannish activity has been pretty low lately, but I love fandom in a lot of ways, and talking about it, and reading what other people have to say about it, reminds me why.

Also, you know, reasons to talk to new people! ...I'm bad at that thing but I'd like to be better at it, so I like participating in things that give something to talk about.

I really hope this is coherent cause I'm on my way to bed and can't entirely tell.

It read coherent to me :) Yes, the potential for meeting new people is a draw of the challenge, and it's great to see so many participating and celebrating fandom and getting caught up in the energy of it.

Oh good! I'd kind of hit the point of not registering my own words by the time I posted. XD It is always nice to see people talk about the good things in fandom. I know there's a lot of drama and discomfort too, but I know it's brought me a lot of good; it's nice to have a yearly celebration.

Perfectly coherent, and this in particular resonates with me: I love fandom in a lot of ways, and talking about it, and reading what other people have to say about it, reminds me why. Because, yes, I didn't even think of this aspect of it, but… yes. ♥

I'm glad it does! Talking about fandom is something I can do a lot of if you get me started, so. It's nice to have an excuse to do it. XD

Hello, I'm a MCUer doing Snowflake and my fic is up on AO3. I've done a few different AUs (all are powered. Mostly I tweak the Serum, sometimes I change when Barnes returns from his supposed death.)
