So, podficcers and authors.

A question for podficcers: What are your thoughts on podficcing something that somebody else has already done? Do you see if the other podficcer minds? The author? Both? Neither?

And authors too: If one of your fics has been podficced already, does it bother you to have someone else come along and do it again?

Follow-up question: Does the answer change at all if the fic is part of a series, the first reader only did one story, and the second is planning on doing the whole thing?

Bonus question: If I am thinking about trying to get into podficcing regularly, would anyone be willing to listen to some rough versions for me and concrit/make suggestions/just plain let me know if they're any good?

(I will attempt a real-life update later tonight, I just had thoughts about podfic lately. <3)

I've never been podficced, but I can't imagine it bothering me if two people did the same fic. It just means two people liked it enough to want to spend a few days recording it.

I can do some listening, though.

I can't imagine minding if someone podficced one of my stories again, either. It's so flattering that someone would even WANT to that having two people want to is just over-the-top wonderful.
