Snowflake Challenge: Day 6
Day 06
In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.
1. Betas for all sorts of mediums -- fic, vid, and podfic. I am trying to fic more often than once in a blue moon, and I'm trying to get into the other two, and having an extra set of eyes/ears would be super helpful. Even if you're not experienced but are willing to give a first watch/listen to something and let me know if it looks/sounds good, that's still helpful. Cheerleaders and people to toss ideas around with would also be awesome.
(A lot of what I want to do is in MCU, but I have a lot of fandoms and most of them are on my to-do-fannish-things-for list somewhere, so if we fandom-share at all and you're interested, let me know.)
2. Soulmate [particularly soulmate-identifying mark] AUs, BDSM-verse AUs, and sedoretu AUs. Recs would be excellent, as would anything you want to write; I'm not much on PWP but can take fics that involve smut if that's not all there is to it. I'll take anything on my fandom list up there really, but if you don't feel like poking over -- main fandoms at this moment are MCU, Firefly, Hannibal, Hamilton, and anything Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant writes or sings; I'm also really up for fics in these AUs in Sanctuary, Overwatch, Welcome to Night Vale, Avengers Academy, Community, Marauders-era HP, White Collar, or Suits. I'm pretty multi-shipper -- I don't really like Steve/Tony or Clint/Coulson, prefer my Hannibal/Will to be fucked up even in AUs, care a lot more about the Five in Sanctuary than the current team, and highly prefer Peter/Neal/El to just Peter/Neal; anything else, go nuts. (If you really want a more specific idea for who I like/what ships I like, my fandom stocking has a pretty decent list.)
3. A Softer World remixes. Once again, links are excellent, and if you want to make them, I will glee like a mad thing. I just haven't seen a lot of them lately. Also on a very different spectrum but generally appreciated: links to fannish Texts From Last Night tumblrs.
4. I guess this isn't so much fannish, but it might fall under the same category: Worldbuilding question lists/exercises/tips/etc. I really want to get at least a couple of my original worlds fleshed out this year, and this would be a great help.
5. On youtube, I would really love links to anything like Extra Credits, Wisecrack's 8-Bit Philosophy and "The Philosophy Of...." videos, or Loose Canon -- interesting media breakdowns and meta is I guess what I'm trying to say.
Also, if you watch Let's Plays, I really love ones of people doing thoughtful/darker games (sad dark, not horror dark -- for an example, I really got into watching different people do Presentable Liberty and One Chance), Her Story (especially if there is theorizing involved, I eat theories and WTF-ing for this game like candy), Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, and Undertale (especially if they do multiple routes). Please no horror games/jumpscares.

As for #4, I went to a world-building workshop at a con. I can try to look up my notes and send them along if you'd like. I write a LOT of AU, and love worldbuilding, so I'd be happy to have you bounce ideas off on me as well.

And that would be really great. I need to do both AU worldbuilding and original fiction worldbuilding (mostly urban fantasy), and it's been a whiiiile since I've properly poked original stuff in particular, so.
