the words of the prophets are written on the subway walls, and tenement halls
I have a OneTab list of 61 fics I want to podfic, have acquired movies for a vid I want to make, and have the desire to go poke at the learn-to-draw site again.
I still am four things behind on the January Meme and I think four on Snowflake; I really, really need to work; and that's ignoring the part where cleaning and boxes should be done right now; but all I want to do is poke at new forms of creativity. It is a problem.
Less of a problem: The ever-amazing Bast got me a new Tarot deck as a late-arriving Christmas gift and I think I am going to take a poke at it today. It is so pretty, and so bright and, I don't know, clean compared to most of my decks, I am looking forward to breaking into it and hearing what it has to say. :)
Would anyone like a one-card draw? Not doing a whole formal write-up or asking for promotions, but I wouldn't mind getting a handle on it with some draws.

Also, if you want, we can try and hit up cleaning/boxes when the sun comes up, you an knock out one or two emails for work now and fill in Hootsuite in the morning. Play a little with shiny new things if you have the brain for them.
Oh, and we can talk about potential blog posts for stuff as boxes get unpacked or cleaning happens or whatever.

So I'm thinking maybe I will try and hit emails/hootsuite now, clean a little after sunrise, tarot, and then maybe see about either podfic or vidding after cleaning, if I feel up to it. I should probably put my efforts into work stuff first but. Do you have any arguments to this plan?

I do not! Go for it. <3

I went with creativity for a topic and, uh, wow is this a good sign. The cat gets the canary and all is self-satisfied and well. Fulfillment, prosperity, satisfaction, happiness, getting what you want -- basically all the words you want ascribed to creative progress are here. If there are any warnings, I'd say they're pretty minor -- try not to get too smug, and be aware of what might come after getting what you want, but since it's hard to imagine a shady way to just be creative, uh, I think you'll be okay.

Omg, I love that card so much. I am also going to be oaky with that reading. :D Thank you, so you and the cards.

I will take a one card draw if you want! That really is a gorgeous deck.

The Lovers
(I can't find a picture of the card alone, but it's the one on the right here)
Sometimes the Lovers means relationships -- not necessarily romantic or physical ones. It might mean that you should hold to or focus on strengthening good relationships in your life right now; it might mean that one is coming your way. Sometimes the Lovers has to do with decisions -- you might be on the verge of having to make one, or just have made one. It's a sign to look closely at yourself when you're torn, and to be honest with yourself about what you need to choose.
It's unfortunately a hard one to read alone on a general subject, but I hope something in that helps for you.

That is a hard card to really understand alone, but I have some ideas of what it might be talking about. Thanks.

Long-term work and focus, but also long-term success. This card encourages you to put the planning, the work, and the foundations into whatever you're doing, to avoid cutting corners or taking shortcuts or giving less than your all. On the flip side, if you're already heavily involved in something, it's a reassurance that your long-term work will come to fruition and bring you rewards for all you've put in.

... That is actually extremely reassuring.

The Hermit usually represents a time of soul-searching and introspection. Sometimes it means a period of study in general, but usually there's some kind of inner component to at least accompany it. It can mean solitude for a time, and it can mean a need for patience; but it also usually leads to a period of growth or understanding.

(Shocked.)
I am assuming this card includes "crawling under the blankies and not coming out all evening" or something similar. ;-)
(Thank you for the draw!)

Balance and adaptability, flexibility, multitasking. You're keeping a lot of balls in the air. This might be a caution -- try not to overload yourself, or you'll drop them -- or a reassurance -- right now, everything's still going and you've got the fancy handwork you need to keep them up. A lot depends on the situation, but there's definitely a lot going on somewhere.

Thank you!

(in my defense, I'm sick)
Those are beautiful cards. I would like a draw, yes, please.

Draws will happen after work stuff. :)

New beginnings, a fresh start, first step on a journey. Youth and innocence and generally being at the start of something, or being open and welcome to new things. There's a small caution inherent here -- don't go strolling off into the deep end right off the bat -- but it also encourages you to take a leap -- leaps can be great, as long as you know how to land.

(Are you using reversed cards? Because the past few days I have gotten the Fool more than once in my daily draws and it keeps being reversed.)

It is, yes.

It might be a person, maybe someone important to you in the near future, someone entering your life, or who you yourself will want to be or find yourself being: Intelligent, reliable, honest, focused on logic above emotion and possibly coming off as cold because of it, and fittingly enough, often looking clearly towards the future. It may mean a time where you'll need to focus on your head over your heart, and let your logic rule instead of your emotions; it might mean some fast thinking, or a time where you'll need to have one eye on what's further ahead to figure out what's best.

(I cannot find a picture of the card, apparently -- it's a rabbit in browns, with yellow flowers at its feet and on its back)
Material wealth, growth, stability. In general, if it's a yes/no or positive/negative question and I get an Ace, I assume yes/positive -- so in this case, it's a resounding well, doubly so if it has anything to do with finances/material objects. It's a good omen card, especially when asking about the success of things, and I think it heralds good things ahead for you.
