See, the more the characters in THG have suffered and been fucked up by their upbringing, the more I love them. Which is why I am weirdly super attached to the District 1/District 2/District 4 Victors. XD I probably wouldn't be so into Gloss in particular, but when I finished reading I had a friend who RPed Cashmere and playing with that close sibling relationship, warped by the fact that both of them absolutely WOULD kill each other if they need to, but that doesn't change that they still love each other -- like, that is right up my alley, and I got really fond of the two of them really fast.
I also have issues, clearly. XD
(I would read the hell out of the high school AU though. >>)
