balsamandashThere was a tiny problem to work around, because nobody informed me that you need an actual letter, but my two weeks have officially begun. My last night of work is Friday, May 20th. And then I'm done. No more Walmart for me. Ever.
(And I mean it. Fucking ever. I will work retail and stocking and jobs that hurt me physically again if I need it. But I am done with Walmart. My store is a mess of communication problems, awful management, and impossible demands -- and we are one of the consistently highest-rated stores in our entire state. I am not dealing with a version of that that probably has its shit together even less.)
Anyway, if anyone's curious/for my own benefit/for people to poke me into sticking to, this is what the next month or so looks like:
BONUS LIST, more or less entirely for my own use (thoughthebonesofferalletters if you'd like to add anything, go for it), things I need to pick up from Walmart before my discount card is gone:
At some point there's a couple of other lists I'd like to make, but they are more abstract than this, and I am thinking about them. Soon, though.
I am still a little terrified, but I am starting to get excited, too. I'm beyond ready to be on to a new phase. It's long overdue.
And on an unrelated note, writing is difficult, and I'm pretty sure most creativity (and... general life things that are not either impossibly to avoid or coming really easy for the moment) is on pause til the move is done, but I'd like to do something vaguely creative, so have a meme. Yes I know I suck at memes, but I will eventually go back and respond to others, and for now:
Leave me a character, get three headcanons about them. Fandom or original. (Bonus round: Leave a character and either a topic or an AU setting [whether it's one I already play around with or not], get three headcanons on that topic/in that setting. Otherwise you get random things that come to mind.)

- 5/7, 5/8: Worknights
- 5/9-5/12 [afternoon]: Going to see thebonesofferalletters; figuring out moving stuff, seeing Civil War [5/10], general existence
- 5/12, 5/13, 5/14, 5/15: Worknights. Getting boxes from Walmart.
- 5/16-5/18: Primarily packing.
- 5/18 or 5/19(?): Moving over to parents house to watch apartment/dog for the weekend while everyone goes camping. Packing there.
- 5/19, 5/20: FINAL WORKNIGHTS.
- 5/21, 5/22: Unless plans need to change for space/other reasons, moving majority of my stuff over with help from actuallyclintbarton, while family is not here to be a nuisance.
- 5/22 [evening]: Family comes home.
- 5/22-5/25: Finish packing, take care of anything else that comes up.
- 5/25 (night): Leaving for Caldera Pagan Music Festival!
- 5/26-5/30: CALDERA PAGAN MUSIC FESTIVAL. Will be out of touch pretty much completely til Sunday afternoon; going to be in a hotel recouping Sunday night and on the road Monday so I'll still be scarce, but I'll be pretty much nonexistant from leaving Wed. night til the festival ends Sunday.
- 5/30: Back to Florida; if I have a lot left to do back to parents/grandmothers to take care of that. If not, going home (going home) to recover and then start the moving process to the other apartment.
- 6/1: HAPPY NEW YEAR. 2016 of misery, family, and Walmart is over. 2016.5 is here.
- First two weeks of June: Moving; settling into the other apartment; begin job hunting; probably see about putting up a Tarot-buying post to make a little money while job hunting; seeing where things go from here.
